“This story introduces readers to the Noor Family Series in an entertaining, modern Islamic morality tale for children. It is the first of 10 stories involving Sara and Adam, their parents, Mona and Bassel, and a variety of many other multicultural characters from among friends, family and community members. The tales teach basic morals through entertaining stories that incorporate modern topics and challenges children face today. The Fifth Grade Competition discusses the importance of living an honest life, and how it impacts ourselves and others.

Following each story are references from the Quran and Sunnah relating to the moral. Also included are suggested discussion questions to offer parents and religious school teachers ideas on how to use the story as a prompt for open dialogue that allows for children to make personal connections and stimulate thought and learning.”
